Welcome to Recovery-Gifts.net. Our aim is to provide quality recovery gifts for members of all 12 step programs. Ordering Information: This web page is designed to facilitate your shopping experience. We have recently done a complete overhaul of our web site, switching from a site relying completely on PayPal, to a site that allows our customers to use a variety of Credit Cards to make their purchases. When you click on a "Add to Cart" button, the shopping cart will open, and display your purchase. You can change quantity at this point, and select the "continue shopping" button to return to the last page you were on. You may continue to add items to your shopping cart. You may also elect to select the "Empty Cart" button, and clear your cart. At any time, you may select the "Recalculate" button to update the cart with recent additions or changes. Once you have selected all the items you wish to purchase, you have the option to use Google Checkout, by selecting the "Google Checkout" button, or by clicking the "Continue Checkout" button, you will be taken to the next checkout screen. In either case, the screens that follow are relatively self explanatory. Following the "Continue Checkout" button, the next screen will give you the option to checkout with PayPal, or to "Continue Checkout" using a credit card of your choosing. If you place an order using PayPal one needs to belong to PayPal. This is free of charge, and all information requested by PayPal is held by PayPal in strict confidence. They have an excellent security record. Likewise, if you utilize "Google Checkout," there is a requirement to provide Google with your card/personal information.
In the event our customers do not want a 3rd party (PayPal, Google, or their own Credit Card) to handle their financial transaction, we accept PHONE ORDERS. Feel free to call us at 866-540-4847 (Toll Free). If there is no answer, just leave us a brief message, along with your phone number, and we will call you back as soon as we can. In the event you do not have a credit card, or do not want anyone to have your credit card information, we have a order form on the web site that can be printed out, and mailed to us.
Shipping Information: All orders will generally be shipped on the next business day after order receipt. Orders received on Friday's and Saturdays will generally be shipped on Mondays. Ring Resizing and medallion/jewelry engravings, take approximately 10 to 14 days to complete, so please allow approximately 2 -3 weeks for delivery. Hand Painted medallions take up to 14-18 days to be received at my East Coast location, so you need to allow 18-22 days for delivery. Custom made jewelry items can take up to 2-3 weeks to complete, and will ship directly from our jeweler upon completion. Items under $50.00 will generally be mailed by First Class or Priority US Mail. We generally use their Delivery Confirmation service, to provide tracking information on shipments. Items over $50.00 may be shipped UPS Ground. Two day, or overnight delivery is available. Accommodations can be made by telephone, or by dropping us an e-mail.
When we switched to the new shopping cart, we switched to a weight based shipping calculation schedule. The PayPal shopping cart in use up until recently calculated shipping charges based on a percentage of sales, which was very cumbersome, as it costs far more to mail or ship a $20.00 sweatshirt, than it does a $20.00 item of jewelry. Likewise, we would not want to send a lightweight expensive piece of jewelry at a very low shipping rate. We have greatly reduced the problems of a percentage based shipping calculation, but some problems still remain, and we are continuing to try to work out the bugs.
Recovery-Gifts.net has over 2400 items available for sale. To control inventory costs, and speed up shipping/mailing times to our customers, we have a number of "drop ship" arrangements with our vendor/suppliers. We are located on the East Coast of the US. Almost of all of our jewelry is "drop shipped" from our Southern Calif. jeweler. He generally ships items less then $90.00 in value by First Class US Mail, and items valued over $90.00 by UPS Ground. Any expedited shipments would be by Priority US Mail, or UPS. Our clothing is shipped from either the North West corner of the US, or the SE corner. Shipping/mailing would be dependent upon the package weight. Some T shirts come in at less than 1 lb. so might be mailed by First Class US Mail, the remainder at Priority Mail. Some items are mailed directly by the artisans who create them. Again, shipping methods are based on the package weight. Medallions, books, stickers, and much more is mailed/shipped from my East Coast location. Obviously, this means that orders may be split into two or more packages. However, every effort is to have everything mailed/shipped within 24 hours of order receipt.
International Customers: We recently opened our site up to international sales. We welcome the opportunity to serve our recovering friends in far off places. Of course shipping to distant lands is much more expensive than shipping within the continental US, and takes much longer. For small, light weight items, the costs are not too much, but for heavier items (clothing, books, etc) shipping can be more expensive then the items cost. We ask our international friends to limit their purchases to lighter items, such as jewelry, medallions (small quantities), stickers, etc. Orders for heavier items are subject to rejection and refund, should shipping charges be excessive. I apologize for any inconvenience this policy may cause. All items are shipped mailed by First Class US Mail, and can take 1-2 weeks for delivery. Tracking on First Class US Mail would be too cost prohibitive, so none is offered. No refunds can be made for non-delivered items. In addition to the length of time it takes for a package to be delivered to a foreign country, all packages are subject to inspection by Customs for each country involved. A customs declaration form is completed at this end, stating the description of each item in the package, it's weight, and it's value. Recovery-Gifts.net can not be held responsible for the policies and practices of customs offices in either country involved in the mailing. There is possibility that customs levies additional fees in order for parcels to be retrieved.
Refund Policy: Recovery-Gifts.net recognizes that it sometimes may be difficult picking out a treasured item from a series of pictures. Therefore, our refund policy is relatively liberal. We will refund the complete purchase price of any item purchased, provided it is returned to us in it's original condition, within two (2) weeks of purchase. Jewelry return refunds are subject to the approval from our jeweler, who "drop-shpis" jewelry for us. He can attest to the condition of pieces he has sent out. Exceptions to this policy are for custom made, engraved, hand-painted, and or resized items. There can be no refunds for those items.
Vendor Policy: We welcome inquiries from recovery related vendors, especially those who hand craft recovery items. Please contact us if you are seeking a marketing outlet.
